The 100 Envelope Challenge is a fun way to save money that’s super effective! It’s a visual way to build the habit of saving money over time.
This challenge is super flexible, but the traditional premise is that you take take 100 envelopes and label them from 1 to 100. Each day (or each week—depending on your goal), you pick one envelope at random and put in the amount of cash written on it. For example, if you pick envelope 25, you put in $25. By the time all 100 envelopes are filled, you’ll have saved $5,050 in total.
