Welcome to Everyday Chaos and Calm!

I’m Sarah Toney and I am so glad you’re here!

If there’s one thing I’m sure we can all agree with, it’s that being a mom is hard.  There’s a lot of sacrifice. A lot of tears. A lot of tantrums and fighting. Basically it seems like chaos most of the time!

But there’s also joy.

And sometimes it feels like we moms focus too much on the chaos and not enough on the calm.

Yes, motherhood is hard. But it’s also beautiful. And fulfilling. Full of laughs and smiles and sticky kisses.

So, here at Everyday Chaos and Calm, I focus on the good stuff. Like:

  • Fun activities and crafts to do with the kids.
  • Fun family outings.
  • Parenting tips to help you feel less overwhelmed.
  • Hands on learning that’s actually fun!
  • Printables that make life (and learning) easier.

Let’s get personal!

Maybe you’re asking who are you?? And why should I listen to you?

I believe that all moms can offer a unique perspective on parenting, life, and motherhood. But if you want to know more about me, here are my “qualifications”…..

=

I had my first child in 2001, and have 6 kids total.

=

All of my children has been homeschooled their entire life. As of today (2023), 3 have graduated and I have 3 more ranging from 2-10th grade.

=

I have been a SAHM since my first child was born. I have built my own business, working at home during quiet times and nap times, that supports our family entirely. But I still consider myself a SAHM above all.

=

I am a boy mom. I do have a daughter (#5), but with 5 boys I still very much identify as a boy mom!

=

Before having kids I worked for a few years as a toddler-preschool teacher. I’ve taught lots of 1-3 year olds in my life!

=

Basically I have devoted more than 2 decades of my life to raising and caring for children- either my own or those of others. I want to help other mothers raise their children and embrace the chaos of motherhood and capture the joy of being around their kids day to day.
