How to Make Your Own Sidewalk Chalk Paint

This is seriously the easiest thing you’ll ever make for your kids. Here’s what you need to make sidewalk chalk paint:

corn starch
water
food coloring

Mix cornstarch and water together until you have the consistency of thin paint. Probably about equal amounts of both.

You can use whatever containers you wish to mix your paint, but I like to use muffin tins. You get lots of little containers all in one and it makes it easy for kids to mix their own colors as well.

Separate the cornstarch and water mixture into different containers- a muffin tin works great!

And add food coloring. And you are done.

See, I told you this was easy.

Nothing left to do but paint on the sidewalk or driveway!

Your kids may need to stir the sidewalk chalk paint every now and again with their brushes to prevent the cornstarch from settling on the bottom of the tin.

This is easy to make- or make more of when it runs out- and gives your kids hours of fun outside in the sun.
