What are Ordinal Numbers?
Ordinal numbers show the position or order of something in a list or sequence. Instead of telling “how many,” like regular counting numbers, they tell “which one.” For example, 1st means first place, 2nd means second in line, and 3rd means third position. Kids use ordinal numbers every day—when lining up at school, reading a calendar, or describing the order of events.
